WAIRARAPA KI O RAHI FESTIVAL

2ND SEPTEMBER, 2025 9AM - 2PM

MĀKOURA COLLEGE

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (14 - 20nd September)  we come together to celebrate the richness and beauty of Aotearoa’s indigenous language. We are thrilled to introduce the collaborative efforts of Te Kura Kaupapa o Wairarapa and, Mākoura College,  in delivering Ki ō Rahi for all secondary schools throughout the Wairarapa region. Unfortunitley due to clashes of other events we will be hosting our annual event on the 2nd of September, 2025.

Te reo Māori is not just a language; it is a living expression of our unique culture and identity. Celebrating our reo and tikanga strengthens our communities and nurtures our connections to the land and each other.

Ki ō Rahi, with its roots in Māori history and storytelling, serves as a powerful medium to foster engagement, respect, and understanding among our youth. As we play and learn together, we honour our heritage and pave the way for future generations to embrace their culture proudly.

Let us come together, September 2nd at Mākoura College to connect through the shared spirit of Ki ō Rahi, as we celebrate our uniqueness and the vibrant tapestry of Aotearoa.
